So we're in dire need of a Christmas holiday this year. And that's not even mentioning the continuation of predictable kinds of instability like global warming, civil wars, and mass displacement. The surprises have been snowing down so thick and fast that we're practically frozen rigid with shock. Trump pretty much trumped everything else in the eyes of western media and rounds off the year with plenty of comedy fodder. The break up of Brangelina and Britain's sudden and bumbling exit from the EU have been almost as divisive as the new President of the United States, Donald Trump. And some of the time it seems like the world is such a hilariously bizarre place that joking is hardly even necessary. The news stories have been pretty unbelievable - so much so that we're unsure whether to laugh or cry most of the time. Yep, it's safe to say the snow globe is in a whirl. It's been an eventful and, frankly, tumultuous year.
